Location, Location, Location

While you are the focus of the picture, the background also reflects who you are. An urban landscape behind you can reflect your edgy/modern personality, while a garden with flowers of every color might show your softer side. We have many landscapes and backgrounds for you to choose; or you can tell us your thoughts and we will make every effort to accomodate you.

Outdoor Studio & Gardens

Our outdoor studio and garden area is unique for many reasons. It is right out our back door with easy access to a changing room, mirror and bathroom. The unique shading system is unlike any in the state. It allows us to photograph any time of the day and yields professional lighting.

There are several fantastic possibilities for your portraits in our outdoor garden. We have over 15 different areas that include a Victorian porch with swing(s), a cabin, pond with waterfall and dock, industrial landscapes (see photo at right), a rock wall, adobe area, flower garden, mountain area, and more. Take a look through our website (especially the galleries) to spot some more backyard studio pictures.

Studio

Our studio has over 30 professional painted backgrounds to work with. Sometimes you just need that special lighting than can only be created indoors. Dramatic shadows and highlights can create special moods. Vibrant or soft colors will enhance your eyes and clothing.

Certain looks can only be created with studio lights and professional handling. While some special effects can only be created indoors.

On-Location

Dave has researched many locations away from the studio and knows when the best lighting is at each location. You can go to the railroad, back alleys, a farm with lots of neat, old buildings, lush green river shots, abandoned buildings, and many more.

How about going to your own special place?  The only thing we need is extra time scheduled so we can accommodate your wishes. Make sure to let us know what locations you are considering so we can plan accordingly (some locations need to be shot at a specific time of day for maximum lighting results).
